Marshfield Municipal Airport (GHG), also known as George Harlow Airfield, is a general aviation airport first established in 1948 when it was nothing more than a small farm with an airstrip out back.  In fact, the current terminal building was once a barn!  A portion of the original structure including its wooden ceiling beams were preserved when the building was later renovated, and can still be viewed inside today’s more modern facility.

100% Aircraft Bonus Depreciation to Expire Soon...

Unless Congress votes for an extension, 100% Bonus Depreciation* tax incentives currently available for new aircraft purchased for business purposes in 2011, will end December 31st.  These significant incentives may provide up to 100% depreciation in the first year of service for qualified aircraft purchases.  In 2012, Bonus Depreciation is slated to drop to 50% -- however certain circumstances will also allow for 100% depreciation on 2012 tax returns if you act now.

Congratulations to Jon Robert's on his first solo flight!  Shoreline Aviation delivered a brand new Garmin G500 equipped Piper Archer LX to Jon in late June and immediately launched his Private Pilot Training under Piper's revolutionary "Ready, Set, Fly!" program.  Jon completed his first solo on July 20th under the watchful eyes of his Flight Instructor, Timothy Helm.  Jon and his wife are attending Oshkosh 2011 where his participation in Piper's "Ready, Set, Fly" program will be highlighted.  The goal of the program is to make buying an aircraft and learning to fly easy and convenient.  Shoreline is proud to be a part of this important initiative and to help prospective pilots discover the exciting world of aviation.
