The Gulfstream G280 has added yet another
The super mid-sized luxury aircraft departed Paris-Le Bourget Airport and headed to Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates on April 24th. Travelling a distance of 2,908 nautical miles/5,386 kilometers, the G280 handily completed its journey in just six hours and sixteen minutes, flying at an average airspeed of Mach 0.82.
The Paris-Abu Dahbi city-pair mark will be sent to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in Switzerland for consideration as a world record, pending approval by the U.S. National Aeronautic Association.
Said Scott Neal, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Marketing at Gulfstream, “It’s a testament to the G280’s many attributes that we’ve delivered more than 60 of these aircraft to operators in 11 countries”
Added Neal, “The G280 had the best range, speed, fuel efficiency and cabin comfort in its class when it entered the marketplace in November 2012, and nothing has changed. It is also one of the most reliable aircraft in the industry.”
Originally projected to fly 3,400 nm/6,297 km, the G280 exceeded expectations by 200 nm/370 km, which has resulted in more city-pair connections, exceptional fuel efficiency—and lower operating costs for customers.
Speed - Complemented by Luxury
In addition to the G280’s extraordinary performance capabilities, the aircraft also boasts a superior cabin experience which includes Gulfstream’s own cabin management and high-definition entertainment systems, industry-leading sound levels, as well as Gulfstream’s signature features including 100 percent fresh-air circulation and cabin pressurization at a lower, more easily breathable altitude to combat flying fatigue.
Along with in-flight access to its generous 154 cubic ft. baggage compartment, its six foot three inch cabin height, exquisitely comfortable seating and its glorious super-sized windows, G280 is at the top of its class.
