VIDEO: A picture-perfect day for Shoreline Aviation fleet photo shoot
Progress at Shoreline Aviation can be seen in the company’s evolving Charter fleet. With management looking to establish a “Shoreline” look and feel to the fleet based in Massachusetts, the local jets are now all of the Cessna Citation 560XL series, and its turboprops are members of the Pilatus PC-12 family. The company also flies a Falcon 2000LX from Palm Beach International.

With 60% of the local fleet turned over since the last fleet photo shoot, it was time to bring in an aviation photo pro to create a new portfolio for Shoreline’s marketing collateral.

Mike Gearin, VP of Operations and cofounder of Photoflight Aerial Media, based in Manchester, Connecticut, visited Shoreline Aviation at Marshfield Airport on a picture-perfect day in late April. Mike is a drone photography specialist, having mastered the craft over the past 15 years. As he says, drones are great for shooting from “those sweet spots,” a range of mere feet above the subjects, which provides unique perspectives not tied to traditional lifts or helicopters.

Mike’s stills and videos will be put to original use in the near future. To prepare for the photography, the Shoreline team configured the fleet out on the newly reconstructed ramp moving aircraft into position using two electric tugs. Mike’s drones buzzed in and out capturing images throughout the photo shoot.

This project was coordinated by Shoreline General Manager Travis Barth, and fleet mobilization was handled by airport Manager Jason Tibbetts and line operations specialist Chris Davis.
