Lake Placid is a picturesque village nestled within the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York. Together with Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake, Lake Placid defines an area known as the Tri-Lakes region.
While best known for hosting the 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid has long attracted outdoors and sports enthusiasts for its unlimited skiing, hiking, and biking trails. Lake Placid also boasts one of only two bobsled runs in the U.S. sanctioned for use in international competition.
