INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO
MARSHFIELD MUNICIPAL AIRPORT – GEORGE HARLOW FIELD (GHG)
The Town of Marshfield, Massachusetts, acting through the Marshfield Airport Commission, invites sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in connection with a construction contract at the Marshfield Municipal Airport – George Harlow Field, Marshfield, Massachusetts as follows:
PURCHASE SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT (SRE) – CARRIER VEHICLE WITH SNOWPLOW BLADE
Procedures regarding bids and the selection of contractors shall be in conformity with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended to date. Sealed Bids for the General Contract must be delivered to the office of the Airport Manager 93 Old Colony Lane, Marshfield, MA 02050 prior to 11:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Savings Time, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the above time and date will be returned unopened.
The proposed work includes the purchase of new snow removal equipment consisting of a 10-foot hydraulic V-type snowplow blade and a carrier vehicle.
The General Bids shall be filed with the Owner at the location designated above, accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price for the Contract work. The bid security shall be made payable to the Town of Marshfield Airport Commission.
The Bid documents shall be obtained electronically by emailing pjandl@airportsolutionsgroup.com on or after February 7, 2024, (Monday thru Friday – 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
Pre-Bid Conference: a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held virtually at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time, on February 14, 2024 on Microsoft Teams. All parties that wish to attend must email pjandl@airportsolutionsgroup.com at least four hours prior to the start of the conference to obtain the meeting invite. Questions regarding scope of the project or of a technical nature must be presented in writing to Airport Solutions Group, LLC by 12:00 noon on Friday February 16, 2024, Eastern Daylight Saving Time. The proposed improvements to be accomplished under this contract will be subject to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action Program; and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) set aside for this work. A one and 45/100 percent (1.45%) goal for employment of DBE firms certified by the Massachusetts Unified Certification Program (UCP) has been established for this job.
The Bidder must supply all the information required by the proposal forms and specifications and must bid on all items, including the Statement of Qualifications package. The Marshfield Airport Commission reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any other bid than the lowest bidder should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the Commission to do so.
