Shoreline Aviation adds Citation XLS+ jet to its charter fleet
A new member of Shoreline Aviation’s aircraft family has claimed a berth in the company’s jet hangar.
Shoreline has added a 2019 Cessna Citation XLS+ jet to its charter fleet. The company, based at Marshfield Municipal Airport on Massachusetts’ South Shore, announced the planned expansion of its Citation 560XL series of business jets earlier this year.
“Demand for our current Citation jets is strong and growing,” Shoreline Aviation President Keith Douglass said. “The incredible 560XL series is the most popular of its type in the world, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer even more of a great experience to our clients.”
Citation jets are designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation. The XLS+ – the latest model of the 560XL line – is powered by Pratt & Whitney turbofan engines and has capacity for two pilots and eight passengers. The jet has a maximum cruising altitude of 45,000 feet, and it can cruise over 500 MPH at a maximum range of 2,400 miles. It also has the performance to take off and land on short runways, greatly expanding airport access beyond what commercial flights can handle.
Shoreline’s fleet is further complemented by its Falcon 2000LX, one of the world’s most popular large-cabin business jets. With its 4,000-mile range, the Falcon has expanded Shoreline’s charter services to offer flights to global destinations.
Shoreline’s fleet rounds out with its Pilatus PC-12 NG and soon-to-be stablemate PC-12 NGX. These workhorse turboprop aircraft command the respect of the aviation community, as witnessed by more than 10 million flight hours of the legendary PC-12 line.
