Charter passengers will soon see an expanded fleet of the best-selling Citation 560XL series of business jets at Marshfield Municipal Airport (KGHG). The airport is based strategically at the mid-point of Massachusetts’ South Shore, halfway between Boston and Cape Cod. The popular jet line – known for superb performance, safety, and efficiency – has been a choice for discerning flight passengers since the late 1990s.

Shoreline Aviation expects delivery of two Citation XLS+ jets in 2024. They will complement the current charter fleet of Citation XLS+ and Excel jets as the company’s Citation lineup moves exclusively to the 560XL series.

The expanding Citation line is further complemented by Shoreline’s Falcon 2000LX, one of the world’s most popular large cabin business jets. The Falcon has expanded Shoreline’s charter services to offer flights to global destinations. Want to fly to Europe or Japan or throughout the Americas? With its 4,000-mile range, the Falcon 2000LX will get you there in exquisite comfort and style.

Shoreline’s charter fleet rounds out with its Pilatus PC-12 NG and soon-to-be stablemate PC-12 NGX. These workhorse turboprop aircraft command the respect and admiration of pilots and passengers, as witnessed by more than 10 million flight hours of the legendary PC-12 line.

With the Citation 560XL line, passengers can expect roomy, comfortable cabins, plenty of baggage capacity, and excellent economy to match the jets’ speed, range and climb rate. The XLS+, which is the latest iteration of the 560XL line, can cruise over 500 MPH at a maximum range of 2,400 miles. And it can take off and land on short runways, greatly expanding the jets’ airport access far beyond what commercial flights can handle.

“Demand for our current Citation jets is strong and growing,” said Shoreline Aviation President Keith Douglass, who has overseen company operations since 1987. “The incredible 560XL series is the most popular of its type in the world, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer even more of a great experience to our clients.”

The Cessna line of Citation jets is designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation. The XLS+ is powered by Pratt & Whitney turbofan engines, boasts a superb avionics suite, and has capacity for two pilots and eight passengers. The jet can climb to its maximum cruising altitude of 45,000 feet in 29 minutes.

The jets are equipped with WIFI, feature a cabin height of 68 inches, and offer plush reclining seats. The forward refreshment center includes hot water, bottled water storage, beverage can rack, and wine storage. Stowaway tables and a lush lavatory complete the luxurious package.

Whether it’s for time-sensitive business trips or personal travel, the benefits of chartering these jets resonate with those who prioritize convenience, luxury, and a seamless experience.

“This is a truly positive move for Shoreline, allowing us to offer more aircraft with updated cabin interiors, super performance, short field access, and great range,” Douglass said. “And Citation is one of the best support companies, with availability to service centers around the world. We couldn’t be happier about this fleet expansion.”

The good news just keeps coming. Recall, Shoreline celebrated the installation of the state’s first and still only electric aircraft charging station at Marshfield Airport in October 2023. The company welcomes the development of electric aircraft to help reduce global emissions. Read more about this at www.shorelineaviation.net/newsroom/news.
